VBS Athens Mission Project

No sew fleece blankets with the VBS Day 2 message “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”  1Peter 5:7 will be hand tied by participants in the Athens Market Linen Shop.  The finished blankets will be donated to the local Houston chapter of Project Linus- providing security through blankets.  New, handmade washable blankets are given as gifts to seriously ill and traumatized children ages 0 – 18.  To learn more visit www.projectlinus.org .  We hope to donate at least 50 blankets.  This project is being coordinated by the MORE board, however, we are asking the congregation to please help sponsor blankets.
